    Mauritius

I would contact Dematech - they are a beverage industry (including brewing, distilling, and homebrewing) supplier based in South Africa but also have outlets in Nairobi and Addis. They can handle exports as well. https://www.dematechsa.com/

    SS Brewtech Brew Bucket

I bought these rubber feet - slip right over the existing ones and have been solid. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016IFTQZ0/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    How long to dry bean

Looks great! I've also done the 2 days whole bean for a coffee blonde... I first tried a coarse crush on a sample but it actually extracted a ton of colour, so stuck with the whole bean. Was pleasantly surprised.

    Buffalo 3kw hob getting hot

It's a Buffalo Induction Unit - 3000w. It's a UK model as I am in Malawi and we run the same standard 13amp/250v outlets. Unit is also fused in the plug. Like I said, I was brewing in a different location (i.e. not my house), so guessing the wiring there is suspect. This is Malawi after all...

    Buffalo 3kw hob getting hot

Brewed at a different location this past weekend and I noticed the plug got very hot! The plug then seized in the socket after shutting off the unit and ended up breaking off one of the pins! Good chance it had to do with the wiring of the place I was brewing at... now I get to replace my plug! fun!

    Show us your Kegerator

Well, Malawi recently went from having 2 functioning draft taps in the country, to 3! I upgraded my 2 tap kegerator to a 3 tap keezer. Easily holds 6 corny kegs on the floor so I can expand it down the road if needed, and still has room for the CO2 inside. For the time being, only sticking with...

Brew Bucket 3 piece ball valve?

It "should" unthread - I haven't been able to do it. Maybe I'm weak?! The two piece would've been great, but I actually got the 3/8" 3 piece for a cheaper price (and since I live across the ocean, more conveniently they were from the same vendor I happened to be ordering other things from) My...

Brew Bucket 3 piece ball valve?

The stock valve & barb is 2 1/4” long. The 3-piece valve & barb runs almost 4 1/4”. I have less than an inch of clearance from the ground to the end of the barb on the 3-piece, but will be having the bucket sitting up on a shelf in my fermentation fridge, so not a concern for me. You would...

Brew Bucket 3 piece ball valve?

Stumbled across these 3/8" x 10mm compression fittings and thought they might work for this! Amazon Link: 3/8" NPT Male x 10MM Double Ferrule Compression Tube Fitting Easily seems to fit the racking arm without the tiny rubber seals, and since it's a 10mm compression fitting I did not have...

    Buffalo 3kw hob getting hot

Just reporting back that I checked both leads and plugs during my brew day and neither seemed very "hot" to me. Warm, but not hot - so definitely worth some experimentation with your socket.

    Buffalo 3kw hob getting hot

I have 2 of these units. One I've been using for 2.5 years, the other for about 9 months. I haven't noticed the specific issue, but I'll be brewing this weekend so I'll give them a check.

Brew Bucket 3 piece ball valve?

Bumping this one up - How is this modification holding up? Been getting tired of the cheesy little valve that comes standard and toying with tracking down some parts to do this. Was it just a 3/8" 3-piece ball valve and a standard male 3/8" to male 1/4" hex reducer?

    Inkbird IPB-16 PID Controller Inquiry

They are 220-240v Buffalo Induction Hobs (3000w). Brought them from the UK to Malawi - We've got UK plugs here, so can plug them directly into the wall. I am generally bringing 7.5 gallons from mash/sparge temps up to a boil in around 30 minutes.
