Help with Dry Hopping and Cold Crashing

Thanks, yeah I think I figured that out at some point when I thought the whole process through and looked at the bag floating on the top. Probably no need for bag with the pellets. Anyways, thanks again.

Help with Dry Hopping and Cold Crashing

Sorry, think I posted this to wrong thread before. This, I think, is where it should be. Need some help here, I did a search and still am a little confused. I brewed Racer 5 clone and had it in primary for about 2.5 weeks, then used pellets in a mesh bag in a secondary to which I racked the...

Help with Dry Hopping and Cold Crashing

Need some help here, I did a search and still am a little confused. I brewed Racer 5 clone and had it in primary for about 2.5 weeks, then used pellets in a mesh bag in a secondary to which I racked the beer. Has now been sitting for about 7 days and I want to cold crash then keg. Was...

    Frozen Beer and floating stuff

Looking for some advice. Few weeks back I brewed extract batch of English Pale Ale and and Irish Dry Stout in prep for St Pattys. Long story short, kegged the Stout and started to carb and put the Pale Ale in the keezer to cold crash. Unfortunately, when loading unloading I accidently...

New to brewing and to kegging

Definitely have the space, thanks for all your help. This site is just awesome for info you get. Will wait until early December and just move to keg and carb. One more question if I might, should I take a gravity reading now or it just doesn't matter as I will be leaving it in the secondary so...

New to brewing and to kegging

Thanks. It is pretty high gravity at 1.071 to start. When you say "prime and purge it" do you mean prime it with sugar then put some C02 on top of it and purge it? Take it off the gas and just set it aside or just prime it with sugar? A little confused there. Thanks again.

Searched through the threads and can't seem to find a definitive answer to the following: I brewed an extact clone of Full Sail Wassail on 10/6/12 and let it sit in primary for 3 weeks, because I did not know any differently I followed directions and moved to a secondary for a little over a...

GE 7 CF (FCM7SUWW) keezer conversion

Just finished my keezer build and am super excited about how it turned out. A big thank you to everyone here that supplied much needed advice and inspiration. My contribution to this build will be this: In my area, Northern VA/Wash DC, at the Reston Community Center for $10 you can go use its...

Austin HB Full Sail Wassail - Clone

New to this home brewing thing. Just built myself a keezer and kegged my first beer. Hopefully it will come out great. It is an Altbier and spent about 7 days in primary, and 4 weeks in secondary, then kegged. So, onto my next beer, a clone of Wassail, it has been in the primary for a little...

GE 7 CF (FCM7SUWW) keezer conversion

Hey guys, New to these forums, new to brewing beer, new to kegging. However, I did go all in and have started building my keezer taking a great deal of information and guidance from this thread. Thank you. Question: For those of you that painted your freezer black or whatever color, did you do...
