I now have 5 10 gal batch's thru mine and has been working great. The area in my house where it sits is not the coolest at around upper 80's. Temp of my fermenter has not had a problem maintaining 67 degrees. Really like the unit overall

So I have a couple of extract kits from Northern Brewer that fall in around 4.5%. So what is a good way to increase the end results to say 5.5% Dry malt, priming sugar? and roughly how much? Working on a 10 batch Thanks in advance

So, a big thanks to the majority who posted informative information. I now have a much better understanding as to what needs to be done and the choices I need to make. Reaching out to my welding supply for tanks with a siphon tube, or even building a fixture that can safely hold my 50lb bottle...

Going to try that, also will ask the welding supply outfit if they have options. Not real keen on flipping a big tank upside down

It's my understanding that co2 bottles draw off the bottom as the liquid is heavier than the gas. So what's the purpose of inverting the larger bottle? Do some bottles not have a siphon tube installed? Amazon also has a a few transfer kits available. Exploring all the options. I exchanged my 50...

I went thru a complete cleaning process yesterday, pressurized the tank and did a test transfer to a keg. All went well except the fixed relief valve on the lid was leaking at first. What part of OC are you at?

I'm reading that optimum length of a CO2 hose in a keg system is 5 to 6 ft long using 5/16" So is there a downside if you only have say 2 or 3ft ?
