I love this thread. Every thing is so hop centric these days I think a lot of brewers forget the wonderful diversity of flavors (and smells) you can get from the malt that makes up your beer. Think of malt as the sweetness in a beer. This sweetness can vary greatly from being subtle and mild to...
Great article on pizza dough, with some interesting parallels to brewing:

Let the dough rise overnight (or longer).
I had two orders from Kegconnection and both orders were incorrect. Both orders were also more than difficult to resolve. On my first order I was charged $20 in California sales tax. I live in Oregon. It took over 6 calls and 6 emails to get resolved. In my mind that it totally unacceptable. On...
Horse Brass and Bailey's Tap Room.
To HB:
Take the MAX line east to the Hollywood NE 42nd stop. Hop on the 75 bus south to Belmont and SE 39th. Walk the final way.
Baileys- take the free MAX line across the river and hop off at the Skidmore Fountain MAX Station. Walk north up Burnside until...
I personally have had nothing but problems with kegconnection.com. On 2 different orders I had parts missing, or received the incorrect parts. Both orders were sent to the wrong address. I was charged CA sales tax on my first order, despite living in OR. It was a MAJOR headache getting that $$...
I live in a small house in PDX with no basement or garage. I have thought about digging an insulated hole under my crawl space for this exact reason. People with basements might think it sounds crazy, but 20 degrees annually beats the 30 degree temp shift I can get on hot summer days... Still...
I love beer glasses and love the way the shape of a glass can affect the aroma/taste of a beer. At the end of the day, though, my favorite is a basic imperial pint glass.
Hey- this guy is having fun, is inspiring people to get into brewing, and clearly likes his own beer. What is wrong with that? It's also a great reminder that beer brewing doesn't have to be complicated. Is the beer good? Not for me to say.
I was actually thinking of running my c02 tank through the drain spout in the middle of the back shelf. Not sure if anyone has done this, but it looks like it would work great. It is definitely a tight fit to get 2 cornies, a tank, and the hoses inside of this fridge, but it is possible.
Hope these help some people out.
The fridge before drilling. Shelves and freezer have been removed.
I used a level to find where the top of the keg lines up with the door. I didn't wan't the shanks hitting the keg.
Once I leveled the top of the keg I taped a line on the fridge to...
I currently have mine set at 1 (the warmest temperature) and it is holding consistently with one keg at 40F with no freezing. I guess the only issue would be if you wanted your brew closer to 45 degrees. I haven't drilled my door yet, so I suppose there could be some minor temp gain if the holes...
