I brewed this a while back and almost out. Had my cousin help me and we split the work and the results :)
We both liked it a lot. He mentioned he had family over and they had a few and all loved it. They had another get together and they were asking if he had anymore. He counted how many he had...
Forgot to post here. Finally had mine last weekend. One major problem I found out after tasting it...I didn't make enough! Wow this is one great beer. My favorite home brew I've made to date.
I added white pepper to mine because I have about 10lbs of it and that is what I use. My grandfather picked it up off a ship from India in the late 60's early 70's and has been handed down. I'm sure some of you may think it's odd but I really like it. Anyways that is what I had on hand! :mug...
No a silicon one but assumed it must have shorted out. Bottling it this weekend.
All the work that I put into it and I mess up with a cheap digital thermometer. Oh well at least I think I'll be able to drink my mistake :)

Brewed this the last weekend. The LHS was out of caramunich so substituted 3.2 oz Special B Malt and 4.8 oz 60L crystal. Part way through the mash I realized my digital thermometer wasn't working correctly so will see how it turns out. The OG was 1.053.
The airlock started bubbling an hour...
Wanted to do my first all grain with this one. Does this look correct based off the original posted here? I converted to 5g and I'm new to beersmith...

I'm thinking about making the partial mash Denny posted of this. I'm somewhat new and have done probably 5 beers. The last two partial.
My question is I love porter and bourbon. Now thinking that last year I tried a Widmer Brrrbon. Had way too much bourbon flavor. Like too rich tasting to me...
