Anyone have a recommendation for a propane supplier in suffolk? Read elsewhere that propane suppliers could be cheaper than home depot or lowes I did Google for my area (Deer Park) but the places near me had some pretty bad reviews. Thanks,

    Sanitizing

You are correct I got it at Home Depot. I think it was in the paint aisle. It's a white bucket saying it's food grade. I rarely go to Home Depot.

I usually go to Lowe's. Guess I have to ask my french friend Le Goog to see what the best price around me is.

I didn't realize a 200,000 btu burner is that muchos powerful than my stove. I also plan on adding a thermometer, sight glass, permanent etching to my kettle. After I disconnected the tank yesterday getting a spare came to mind. Was it sure though propane I had left.

I do have a garage but super paranoid about propane at the moment. New to using it and still not comfortable with it and a burner. I'll keep an eye out for fermcap the next time I go to my lhbs.

Today I brewed batch number 6 and boy was it crazy. It was also my first time using a propane burner and first full boil. The day started out drizzling and cleared up by 9 am just like the weatherman said. So I decided to brew outside since it was also in the 50s. Got the propane burner setup...

    Bottle Conditioning Question.

Would you also do that if you were going to age a stout? Or would you leave that at room temperature until ready to drink? Thanks, KeepCalm

    Bottle Conditioning Question.

Its been 4 ,5 weeks since i bottled my first brew. I used the primming sugar that came with the kit and followed the directions. Question is do you have to put all the bottles in the fridge at some point or is it ok to only fridge before you plan on drinking? Kind of seemes like the beers...

    Belt heaters on class carboys

I have been using one since mid December. On my 3rd batch. Each time the belt has been on the carboy for about 2 weeks. Though to add the ambient temperature for where I ferment is only a few degrees below from where I want to be.

Styles to focus on to become a better brewer?

So i picked up some ingredients for SMASH. I just picked some malt and hops based off of recipes I have seen. Though would this really be single malt? Think these malt extracts are made with multiple malts. Would this be a blond Ale? 6.6 lbs Briess Golden Light LME 2 oz Cascade Hop pellets...
