    Check out this UDS!

I know they still cook, but I did remove the chicken at 160. I was planning on cutting eating within a half hour. Ended up being 1.5 hours. Next time I won't wait. When the therm says it dinnertime, its go time, damned the wife/guests.

Smoker was built friday finally. I had a day off work so i went and picked up a drum. only took about an hour. I had a scrap weber for the lid and grates. Using Amylase Enzyme...

this is what I did. It DID NOT go "bone dry" as I have read so many times. I still have some bottled, prolly for 8 months now, no issues. I've also used it in the mash since then. I overshot the temp and killed the enzymes in the malt(i think) so I tossed in some AE and got conversion...yeah!

Can i use copper valve on boiling kettle?

As a LICENSED plumber, I can tell you this guy doesn't know what he is talking about, or is a little confused on the application. The only issue would be electrolysis (as mentioned), but this requires some amount of electrical activity, and ALOT of time. The amount of time the kettle will be in...

Equally Obnoxious Hockey Trash Talk Thread, eh?

Nice series. Canucks out-everythinged the Hawks this game and deserved the win, Crawford kept it interesting.

Will you buy Goose Island beers now?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I hear alot about the 3 tier system being the problem for not getting distribution nationally/out of state. The way I see it this is wrong. A small craft brewer can't afford to get their beers around the country without a distributor.(The whole point of the sale of GI...

The new amazing bud light bottles

what? i don't get it? I too thinks its brilliant. it has its place as I noted earlier. the frat party mentality can transcend many years of male adulthood. PS, i would totally write "homo" on my guys bottles.:rockin: I'm 31.

Will you buy Goose Island beers now?

I won't bother with them. I've had it plenty as I live in Chicago. I haven't been drinking them much the last year or so anyways. I understand exactly what the OP is saying. When I am out drinking on tap I always prefer local beer. Sure I drink the occasional west coast bottle or something but I...

A-B and MillerCoors raising prices on their "budget beers"

I drank those beers before I turned 21. After that I was able to purchase my own beer and be more discerning, and slowly started exploring beer. Its lead me here, I really don't care what they do in regards to that style of beer. I'm not interested in it. Its probably a smart business move.

    Erlenmeyer Flask or Mason jar

We are talking about atoms of gas. The idea is if you have gas exchange out, you will have some coming in. Think of how an airlock works. It only burps when the pressuse is high enough. If you are using the loose foil then CO2 is constanly flowing out at atmospheric pressure. Gas is slowly...
