so i just pulled the screen off with some pliers. a small amount of screen remained trapped at the edges by the adhesive. ground off all the screen whiskers with a dremel and carbide disc. all cleaned up and good to go now.

right. and lets be serious we’re dealing with grain here. i wouldn’t be surprised if there was some mold in every batch we make. i’m not so worried about infection, it just is unsightly and annoys me. pretty much decided i’m cutting off the screen. the only drawback i can see is if you use the...

so I have a big problem now. I put away my basket inside the brew kettle last time I brewed. came back weeks later to find the basket covered in mold. got everything cleaned up except for the lid, hard to see in the pix but those black spots are mold trapped between the coarse outside metal...

    my pours are a mess

j, i carb each keg to whatever pressure is appropriate for the style of beer, then after it reaches full carb set the pressure to my serving pressure which is 8 psi. so after looking at my setup today it appears i only have one keg that is pouring bad. i thought both kegs were affected but today...

    my pours are a mess

also your right j. i was using serving pressure (8) rather then kegging pressure. so i should be closer to 10 ft or so, which i've already tried. i think the answer is closer to above that i have done something idiotic and it has nothing to do with pressure. its late but i will check tomorrow.

bghs, its happening on two different kegs so i doubt it. but its a good thought and ive done dumber things, will check tomorrow.

    my pours are a mess

the 3/16 beer line is the same diameter as before. i carb at different pressures depending on style but average is around 15 psi i guess. i don't see any air leaks and the tank pressure guage isn't going down over time. i pour at around 8-10 psi. i am mystified by this. even the most unbalanced...

    my pours are a mess

alright, so maybe before I go crazy I can get some help here. I replaced my beer lines for the first time lately in my keezer. I didn't bother to measure how long my old lines were, but they were roughly 10 feet long. I never had any real problem with my pours before, the first beer would be a...

did my second high gravity beer yesterday (westy 12 clone) and am starting to get the feeling that you can't really do hi-grav beers very well with the cofi system. both times the water level didn't cover the grain bed entirely, it was about 2-3" short. I would imagine this is because of the...

i've been happy with my effs (75% so far). i stir my grains in the basket for a full 5 min and that has helped a lot.

yes, in general i get multiple crashes whenever i try to load or edit a program. once it successfully loads and is actually running I haven't had a crash but its a major pita to get to that point.
