Need temperature setting suggestion for Keezer

Rodger that, was just wondering if having it at a particular setting would decrease wear and tear on the unit shutting on and off frequently and if more consistant temps are possible with a particular setting.

Need temperature setting suggestion for Keezer

I just finished my Keezer build on a Danbury Freezer. I am using a johnson Temp controller. The freezer comes with an adjustment knob for temperature. What would be the optimal setting ( least cold, mid, coldest) on the freezer to promote best temperature control and longevity of the freezer.

    Confession About Belgian Beers

I would disagree that you will necessarily "develop a taste" for them or that "your palate will mature". I have given them a fair try for years and still find them offensive. Stone's Cali-Belgique would be one of the few I ever repeated and found tolerable. So, if you be so poor as to not...

American Pale Ale Lake Walk Pale Ale

Brewed this 6 weeks ago. Only had 3/4 oz. of Amarillo and the LHBS was out so I subbed Chinook at 60 and Cascade at 5 min. This was the best IPA I have ever brewed and would handily beat 85 to 90% of the commercial microbrew IPA's I have had. ( and I have had a few) Thanks a million for a...

    Extract vs. Partial Mash

You don't need a bunch of equipment at all. I mean you can go that route if you want but first take a look at this tutorial https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f39/easy-partial-mash-brewing-pics-75231/ It's a super easy method to do a partial mash.

Help!! Need measurements on Perlicks for Keezer Build

I don't have my faucets in yet (perlicks 525) but I need to know the distance when mounted that they stick out of the collar ( collar to tip of faucet ) and the distance they drop down ( center of hole drilled for shank to bottom of faucet) . Thanks!

    Cold break question

It has been my experience that even if you pour your cold break into your fermenter it will settle out given time. Cloudiness in my understanding may come from not getting the cold break to occur as opposed to having it in your fermenter.

Can you Brew It recipe for Stone Levitation

Brewed this one subbing Nugget for Simcoe due to availability. A definite winner. Taste very close to Levitation. A real crowd pleaser. The bittering hops and flavoring hops are very well balanced with neither dominating.

I got 4 from them a week ago. Contacted them via email for bulk pricing and got shipping at $25.00 to Louisiana. I went with the $38 dollar kegs as they were described as being in better shape, well one had a damaged post that I think will have to be replaced. Contacted them and asked for...

    Can priming cause off flavors?

I had a Pale Ale that I just tasted after 3 weeks in the bottle. When I bottled it it tasted great, just no carbonation. Now after being carbed/conditioned for 3 weeks it taste green ( green apple green) So my question is : Can the amount of yeast left in the beer be so low that the act of...
