    Worst Homebrew Disaster

Last summer I was carrying a carboy full of red ale wort down to my basement. A step gave under me and I let go of the carboy, which I then proceeded to watch as it bounced down the steps and went *smash* on the basement floor. Now I do all my primaries in plastic.

At this point, one of the most pressing needs for the Giants is to add some depth and youth to their O-line. As a result, we'll take Jamon Meredith, OL, South Carolina.

I don't see Freeman as being a second round pick (third at best, I know the Giants have been looking at him). Smith sounds reasonable, but they could use a good safety, and William Moore's one of the few really good looking safeties in this draft.

Sweet! With the second round pick they received from New Orleans in the Jeremy Shockey trade, the Giants will select Pittsburgh RB LeSean McCoy. Shady's a good receiver out of the backfield and very elusive, so he will hopefully team up with Ahmad Bradshaw to make up for some of Derrick...

I agree with Ayers...he's also a potential mid to late first rounder, so there's a lot of value in that selection at this point.

Alright, then. The Giants will take Derrius Heyward-Bey, WR Maryland, who will hopefully give us a deep threat to help replace some of Plaxico Burress' production over the next few years.

Given Tom Coughlin's the Giants' coach, I can't see Ocho Cinco on his way there. But I do think there's a possibility of the Giants trading for Anquan Boldin, and if so, their calculus changes quite a bit. I'm trying to work a trade, so I may take until the end of the day to make the pick...

See, I personally would be surprised to see Cushing come off the board before Matthews.

    HBT NFL Mock Draft '09

That's not that surprising this year, though...the tackle, DL, and linebacker positions are pretty deep at the top, while other than Stafford, there aren't any really elite prospects at QB. Even when it comes to running backs, they all have flaws, so there's none that jump out as a really top...

    HBT NFL Mock Draft '09

Sorry about that...the Chargers could potentially use a running back, since even with the contact, LT's on his way down, but there is a lot of money there already. On the other hand, we need some impact defensive players, particularly at inside linebacker, who can complement guys like Shawne...

I think you mean, "The success rate of "QB's coming out is incredibly low." Of all the positions in football, there's a good reason QB is the most difficult to project to the NFL (actually, there are several), and there's a good reason that number of starts is one of the important indicators...

    Brewing light beer?

Miller's new ad campaign describes how it's "triple hopped," and they add the hops three times, not just once, so you can really taste it! :rockin:
