I have the AHS immersion chiller, and use it until the wort gets down to tap water temps. Then I hook it up to an el cheapo submersible pump from Harbor Freight that is submerged in a cooler of ice water. I get 5 gallons down to below 80 in less than 15 minutes.

here's mine. found the freezer on craigslist for $40. only one tap so far, though there's room for six cornies in there if i put two on the hump.

when folks use these as fermenters, do they add another drain to the bottom, so they have one for the beer and one for dumping the trub? how does the plastic hold up to drilling and mounting another spout?
