    I see 2-row casually tossed around with out specifying what maltster. The majority of 2-row seems to settle in the dist water ph of about 5.7. I've heard Rahr 2-row is known to settle in much lower at around a ph of 5.5. If this is the case would you forgo a 2% addition of sauermalz if using...

    I'm kind of in the same boat. I brewed a Caribou Slobber Extract on 1/30/14 and hit my O.G. right on the money (1.052). I rehydrated Danstar Windsor in 84 degree water for about 30 minutes then after adding wort to my rehydrated yeast, I pitched it into my carboy at about 64 degrees...
