As I work in the field the style ratings and recipe components would be good for marketing and seasonal price adjustment. Make winter wheat malt more expensive in spring for the summer hefe’s etc. While I doubt they would do this the tasting notes could be used with some ai to put together a...

Irish Red Ale Red Riding Hood

Wow, hope you guys enjoy it. I still brew this regularly albeit in a 2.5 gallon config for my zymatic. Prost!

I used a cheap fountain pump from homedepot and some pvc. Stick the pump in the bucket. Drill drain holes in the lid and set the keg on top. I run 130 degree pbw rinse and it gets everything.

Perfect! Thanks for that explanation, exactly what I was looking for with my prior heating question. And 1/2 inch off the dip tube. Time to see if this cheapo pipe cutter can... cut it

So my google-fu must be weakening as I grow older, but how long are the dip tubes on the zymatic kegs? I got mine used without the keg and need to mod some ball locks with full length dip tubes, and cannot find how much to remove.

Had a question about the advanced editor that was not forthcoming on the Picobrew site. When setting up the mash and pass thru I pick up that I need to drain from the current schedule, so that the pico can pick up some wort for passthru to heat. Do I always need a passthru to heat, or is it...

Perfect, so maybe you can answer me this. How loud is the thing? Trying to decide if I can put it in my office and let it go while I'm on conference calls, or if I need to permanently install it in a side room or something.

So the stars have aligned. I had to cancel my brew day for the 3rd time in a row due to work escalations, and at that moment a member of the local homebrew club decided to sell his Zymatic. He had just had it replaced from his kickstarter model, so the thing has only had 2 batches through it so...

I'm guessing you manage that size by supplementing with dme or lme in a larger vessel? I've got a 7 gal SS fermenter I was considering modifying but was wondering how well that batch size would come out

That was one question I had that I couldn't seem to answer by searching on the web. How do you use your SS fermenter with the Pico attachments? Do you just drop a diptube in there and pull it out when done? Can you share a pic perhaps?

Yea, the open source was something I was definitely interested in, as I'm a programmer, and the advanced editor bug definitely sounds rather frustrating. I don't suppose they allow for recipe import via xml or some other data format? That I could atleast work around and keep my recipe iterations...

I did, but figured I'd ask here as well. Was hoping I had caught her as she was browsing.

Does Picobrew sell factory reconditioned units?
