Man im gettin both! I finished at 1.020 from 1.065 or so and it's got that super grain/biscuit nose and very caramely and sweet on the tounge! Im glad the co2 adds a bit if bitter zing to it tho, i think I'll mash lower next time i brew this. Maybe 152.
I brewed this on Monday and by weds night the yeast had fallen out and the top had almost no bubbles so i took a reading, it was at 1.018 from 1.065 in just 3 days! It tasted amazing so I let it sit and put it in cold crash this morning, Adding gelatin tonight!
Ive always used 2# of rice hulls in my grist for this beer. I know the OP says to use 1# for 5 gallons, but 2 lbs is way better! I've never had a stuck mash using that much.
And your finished product comes out a lot clearer!
