48" Vizio 1080p 120Hz LCD from Costco here. Had it for 2 years now with no problems. It's a huge upgrade from the 40" plasma 720 we used to have. Consumer Reports is a good and trusted source to check out. Once you see what you like, price shopping for that particular model can pay off.

I like the kits for now because they are easy enough to find and are generally already tried and trued. Most online stores have reviews of the kits, you can learn from those reviews whether or not it's worth your time to brew or not. Also you get a good handle of certain styles and flavor...

Can't say I've done this myself, but it is my understanding that you will be fine, worst case, it may seem a little "watery" in the end.

I agree with Revvy. Which is the best brew kit is like asking what time is the best time to eat lunch. The best kit is the one that you like and works for you. I like the Liberty Cream Ale (good after a day in the AZ sun) from Midwest Supplies, but it may be another one I find later...
