Building a Brew bench for pump setup (In-progress)

Thanks. Sure. I bought it on Amazon from a homebrew supply company "HomebrewStuff" thats out in Idaho I believe. Looks real easy to make actually. It appears the amazon.com vendor no longer sells it online but in-store only purchase. thats a bummer...

Building a Brew bench for pump setup (In-progress)

Hey guys, I join comment much on here. I think I joined last year to take advantage of a deal from Inkbird. This past weekend, I got the itch to upgrade from my gravity setup (which wasnt really a setup... just a collection of objects higher than each other lol). I still need to buy some...

    Harvey killed my keezer

my guess is the relay switch is done. Its a cheap part but its only 1 part. I feel like you may be throwing a few parts at this thing to get it running.

    First attempt at lagering

Just thought Id update this. The WLP820 yeast is a terribly low attenuator. FG looking like 1.019 maybe. Target was 1.011. Its been over two weeks and the fermentation is definitely halted. I went ahead and moved them over to the serving kegs. Set psi to 10 and temp is set to 45*F going to...

Really off OG and FG conundrum

I think I would have taken a gravity reading before diluting. The low ABV is due diluting with too much water to begin with. Following instructions is great and should theoretically work every time but sometimes you have to make some fine tuned adjustments. If you had the pre-dilution...

What is the pressure drop of an acceptable C02 leak.

Never settle for any leak what so ever. Not a boost leak on your turbo charged car, not a CO_2 leak on your system, not a leak in your Liner pool, Not a leak from HVAC unit in your house, and especially not a leak in your bed from you 9 months pregnant wife.

    Kegged beer issues

I have brought my beer to homebrew club meetings and recieve much praise for them, I can't tell you if they are novices or experts but some of them had been brewing for 30 years. I can promise you I have not had oxidized beer come out of my equipment, not like a keg that was tapped with an air...

Here's my stupid question about ball locks,

Why not just have a second gas disconnect with no gas tube on it and connect it to relieve pressure? Id rather do that then jab a screw driver into the poppet.

keggle - cutting WHOLE top off ????

This is my keggle. I dont have a good photo of my lid but its a crab pot lid. The hole is cut perfectly to fit this lid.

    FastBrewing.com

I have a fast fermenter that I havent even taken out of the box yet.. I dont have a stand and Im not wall mounting it... Seems like a great idea but should always come with a stand. It was a gift and I saw the wire stand is sold separately for like $50. I'll stick to my kegs, buckets, and...

    Kegged beer issues

Ive never had the kind of trouble with oxidation that is being described in this thread. I've always siphoned into a keg (open) thats been pressurized with CO_2.. close the lid, add target CO_2 pressure and purge 6-7 times. My beers have been fine.

keggle - cutting WHOLE top off ????

I would definately NOT cut the handles off. Like wise, I would not cut too close to where the dome is welded to the handles. You want this thing remain stable. You cut too close to the welds and your going to hurt yourself lifting it one day full of wort. I can see how BIAB may be easier...

need help with optimizing fermentation and hop flavors

If you wanted some info on your well water, I know you can pick up a free water test kit at home depot. There is possibly other locations to grab them near you if home depot isnt an option.
