what temp did you ferment this at? I know jamil suggests fermenting this yeast at around 62. Is that where you went with it or did you go with old wisdom of hotter for hefe yeasts?

I use beans and nibs however I soak in everclear first. I just threw in coco nibs once and it infected my milk stout. So now essentially make an extract first and throw it all in.
It's not hard. You can look up threads here. If you don't have any wiring experience or tools you may need to buy/barrow them. It's not too bad though. I have never wired anything and I did it just fine.
I think it's probably because the temp sensor is used to measuring the freezer temp and now your trying to control a fridge temp. If you put the sensor right up again the coil then it could help. It did with mine at least
