1/2" ID line to ball-lock liquid and gas QDs?

Greetings friend @Bobby_M sorry, terribly sorry I hadn't seen this earlier. Hadn't got a notification of your response. I'll reread this carefully and reply. Thank you

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

Much thanks for this generous response! Well, looks like if pursuing this would be on the search for a gas regulator than can regulate from mid-low 30 ~ 50 PSI down to about 10. And like you wrote, the creeping issue. Thanks for the reply -

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

Could you please post a pic of your LPG regulator? How does it connect into the system? Would it be appropriate to dispense CO2 at about 10 PSI from a keg that was pressurized to 30 ~ 50 PSI? If not, any idea what would do that? Guess I could just buy the parts and assemble one but are they...

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

👍 ... Yes, however to me it's easier to just buy a $29 pressure valve and avoid opening the FV and avoid having to guess how much sugar to add and hope fermentation picks up again

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

Here are three batches with the black-topped trimmed liquid tube fermenters purging servers and being pressure fermented to about 18 PSI which after refrigeration, usually drops to about 12 PSI. Shown here are gas posts to liquid posts jumpers. The furthest back combo with the longest label is...

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

I've heard two different definitions for the use of pressure valves, first ordinary pressure fermenting as a flavor modulater, second "spunding" referring to self carbonation - possibly only applied at close to the end of fermentation. I use "pressure fermenting" to refer to everything. My...

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

Many people enjoy a hint of residual sweetness in cider ... and so ... after having pressure fermented to about 16 PSI, when fermentation in FV has about 1/5 left to go, transfer to server, refrigerate and serve. You'll get ample alcohol, you'll get fruit flavor and residual sweetness because...

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

I guess if the OP switches to keg fermenters then he has a useless dedicated FV? :(

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

For anyone that gets their water from a well on their property you're aware that you have a bladder diaphragm based pressure tank. Ever see plants being watered at a building supply store with a pressure tank on a rolling cart? Don't they sell food grade bladders that can go inside kegs and...

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

Yep. I've had lots of success using residual CO2. There are lots of creative possibilities, moving cleaning solution through dip tubes and sealing newly begun batch lids are a couple. Often when servers are empty I keep them refrigerated and jumper them to half empty kegs to keep the liquid...

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

Sounds to me like it's gonna' work. Trial and error. Good luck - Edit - might still want to have a tank and regulator on hand just in case, and they are useful for countless other fermenting chores

Newbie - help re cider that’s too dry!

Somehow I stumbled into making ciders with ideal residual sweetness with added fruit tastes. It's probably because I'm doing something wrong. Keep experimenting and see what seems comes out to your liking

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

I thought he said he enjoyed lower carb ale ... I recall having "pulled" bitters in UK that were almost flat and delicious and it worked for the style

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

I'd imagine there are countless ways to achieve your intended goal. What I like about pressure valves is they give desired target carbonation without guesswork or having to open fermenter and add new ingredients, although I did explore that idea

Add a splash of fresh apple or pom at serving. Enjoy!
