    Brewie

I have only brewed one Brewie Pad, the Rusty Rex, and I ended up with a slightly higher final gravity than the sheet said. I don't remember exactly what it was as that was months ago and I didn't put the recipe in BeerSmith.

I didn't calculate it myself I just took what BeerSmith calculated. For my last three brews I had one that was 62.6%, one that was 79.0% and one that was 82.8%. I do stir during mashing and I think that is what makes the difference.

    Brewie

My Brewie has had issues on old firmware versions with reaching a good boil but it has produced great beer. I typically get around 72% efficiency which is close to what I get on my biab system. I am a member of the Brewie owner's group on facebook and I have seen no mention of deleted post...

    Brewie+ vs Picobrew Z

I have had my B20 since July of last year and it has worked fine. I never used it after a new firmware was released without giving some time for feedback on the FB group as it seemed the vast majority of issues were due to a couple versions of the firmware. My only gripe is the recipe editor...

    Brewie

I've had mine for several months now and it works great. I did have some issues with pre-1.7 firmware but they all seem to be fixed now. One big thing I learned was just don't touch the machine when you don't need to as that seems to screw up the weight measurement system during water...

    Brewie

I have had mine for about a month and it does work well. I did have an issue once where it did not add the sparge water to the tank but started heating anyway. I stopped it and restarted and it was fine. Most problems seem to come from touching the machine when calibrating or add water when...

    Brewie

Today's email basically says that everyone that will receive a unit between now and February 2 have been notified. So that means if you, like me, have not been notified than don't expect it any time before that. It doesn't actually say when.

Anyone received a shipping notice/tracking number yet? Today is the day they said shipping will start.

I thought most kitchen circuits were actually 20A anyway?

The only questions Brewie seems to answer are general questions about the machine but most people here want real answers as to when will will see our machines show up. Brewie, quit placating us and give real answers as to when you will deliver our machines!

Got another one today claiming great, good and not so good news. Basically delayed more. I'm trying to stay positive...

    Single vessel 120v build

You can also use a box like this one: http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34&products_id=369 The whole box is a heatsink.

    Learning/building ebiab setup

The Ranco will work but a 1500w element will pull 12-13 amps and the 2000w element will pull 16-18 amps so you can't use the 2000w unit. With the 1500w element it will take a long time to get ~8 gal to temp for mash and boil. It would help to insulate your pot. It's all about how much time...

    Learning/building ebiab setup

I personally would not use the ranco controller. Even at 1500w you are too close to the limits of the contacts but that's just me. I would go the route of getting the Auber boil controller and an ssr. I'm ordering one right now to try out as I think it is very well customized to what we need...
