    That is about right. It can vary by moisture content. Rule of thum: Divide by 4, so an average lb will give you 4 ounces of dry.

    Is there any reason that your crown has been stressed. We had a gopher eat the root of one of our plants...took a year to recover...

    It really depends on where you live. I live in Hop Country and burrs are showing up on all my plants....even have a few little cones on my Fuggles.

    Chill Out. Hops grow verticle, then they grow Horizonal (Side Arms) Leave the Side Arms Alone....the next stage is burrs, then Cones.

    All I know is that it is half EKG. The mother was probably a Tett or Fuggles or maybe a Sunbeam.

    I thought I killed it last year, but it is back!!! If it gets old enough to pollinate my female hops, the cones will have big round brown seeds that end up in my brew kettle.

    I use Sunbeams for shade on my back deck and second story balcony....they grow about 20 feet tall....very pretty with the bright yellow leaves. :ban:
