I was bottling my first brew yesterday :rockin: and I noticed that I accidentally sucked some of the yeast rafts that never settled out into a few bottles. I know it's probably not and issue but I was wondering if they would settle out by the time they are ready to drink.
Aerating hot wort can cause oxidation. Oxidation causes long term off flavors that do not age out. I believe the taste associated with oxidation is somewhat like wet cardboard.
Well I think it was because when I was transferring from my boil kettle to my fermenter, I left some in the bottom. I was too worried about not getting sludge in it that I didn't get all the concentrated wort. I think I mixed it well though. I dumped it back and forth from my carboy and...
