Neighbor wants to call fire marshall for brewing

Sounds like the South Redondo area, near Beryl/190th? Just Curious, I used to live in that area.

Is this smell anything to worry about?

Didn't know there was a club for this! My friends gf is a nurse, I had her get me an oxygen mask with the tubing. The idea was to hook the tubing from the mask directly to the airlock tube so I can take whiffs. I guess I have a serious problem. It kinda worked, but the tubing was too small...

    Consistently stuck fermentations?

Porter og 1.045 Stout og 1.065 Bitter og 1.040 I used the entire amount that comes in a packet of yeast, except on the stout, where I used two packets, per the recipe. I don't remember how many grams they were exactly. The only reason I pitched the dry yeast on the stuck ferm, is because...

    Consistently stuck fermentations?

Dry yeast. All the quantities pitched were per the LBS's recommendation, and were brews they have made themselves sucessfully. The stout was even pitched with safale, and nottingham as per the LBS's recommendation, then I re-pitched nottingham again, with no luck.

    Consistently stuck fermentations?

Ya, usually by the recipe is how I am expecting it to finish. The first extract batch was a different brand of LME than the last two, and that is the one that got stuck, but I was able to get it going again. These are extract batches with specialty grains (I am unsure if this would be called...

    Consistently stuck fermentations?

No yeast nutrient. Is it absolutely necessary in every batch? I am also not familiar with the use of olive oil, does it substitute aeration? The only aeration was from the vigorous pouring of the wort in the primary...

    Consistently stuck fermentations?

Hey guys, I'm on extract/specialty grain batch #3, all three batches have been stuck. My first batch was a Vanilla Bourbon porter on oak chips that was stuck, but I managed to successfully "un-stick" it by rousing the yeast, and moving it to a warmer temperature. The second batch is a sweet...

    Still stuck after re-pitch

Checked gravity today, still stuck at 1.030. Guess I'm just gonna have to transfer to a secondary, or just bottle it and hope I don't get any bottle bombs. The beer tastes too good to dump.

    Still stuck after re-pitch

    Bump!

    Still stuck after re-pitch

Should I wait a little longer in primary? just bottle it? Or drain pour it?

    Still stuck after re-pitch

It is a pale LME, Sorry, I fixed it in the recipe. The make of the extract was alexanders. Wort is at 68-70 currently. I checked my hydrometer again , and it reads at about 1.002 in about 69 degree tap water, so given the correction, its really at 1.004.

    Still stuck after re-pitch

It is an extract recipe. Hydrometer is calibrated correctly as well. Here is the recipe: Malt Extract: 9 lbs pale liquid Grain Bill: 8oz British chocolate malt 6oz Roasted barley 6oz British crystal 135L 6oz Belgian Special B Hop schedule: .05oz Summit 18.0% 60 min .04oz Willamette 0 min...

    Still stuck after re-pitch

Hey guys, I Started a 5 gal "Caribbean Stout" extract/steeping grain brew from a local HB shop recipe. Followed the directions exactly. Jan 8th it was put into primary, and pitched with Safale S-04 as well as a packet of Nottingham yeast per the brew shop employees recommendation. According to...
