    incomplete fermentation :(

I take brix readings throughout the whole process and have no issues. Beer smith has a conversion tool built in to convert pre-fermentation numbers, as well as post. Just select the right one.

    Efficiency targets

Why worry about your efficiency as long as you are hitting your target? maybe I am in the minority here but i aim for 65%, usually hit it and get all of the best sugars out of the mash. Spend about $3 extra in my base grain per batch. Is there something i am missing? Why the stress to hit 90%?

    do you brew alone?

I am surrounded by people all day at work, so I love my solo brew days. Sometimes I brew with friends or brew to learn from others or teach others, but it is rare.

Best books for improving your brewing

I loved the book "Brewing better beer" by Gordon Strong. It has really helped me up my quality. Beer Smith is an amazing tool that I have has great luck with, not to mention the forums here and the help and advice from my local brewers and home brew shops.

    Proper Glassware

I manage a craft focused restaurant and one of the fights we get from some customers is the "why don't you have frosted pints for my beer?" It does present an opportunity to educate people about beer, but it makes me hate the marketing of BMC that much more.
