What I've been doing is letting the bottles carbonate and then leave them for w weeks to condition. Is this okay? Do I condition the beers first and then bottle them?
I accidentally spilled about a quarter or 30% of my crushed grain on the floor. I threw it out. Will this effect how my beer tastes if I end up using less crushed grain then I was supposed to in the kit?
I will try stouts with very different or unique flavors, but for now I'm afraid to drop $ on unfamiliar territory. I didn't pick up any chocolate or coffee flavors (that would be nice). Just....hotdog. After I drank that first can I couldn't shake it off.
Some stuff I picked up at a grocery store, I usually only drink ale lager or pilsner.
There was Murphy's stout, and Taddy or Tabby something, I think it was porter but also tasted like hotdogs. I really don't ever drink stout and only rarely porter.
I'm kind of just messing around with my next batch but I'm trying to make a high percentage beer that tastes like cherry soda. I'm gonna add cherry extract but I was thinking how good or bad of an idea it would be to just use cherry soda for water. Like ffaoe said I thought it would accomplish...
